Instant Pot Baked Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats
These are an awesome back-to-school real-food breakfast! Prepare them in 5 minutes the night before you need them, set the Instant Pot's timer and then simply prepare to be amazed when they are prepared by the time you awake!
- 2 cups steel cut oats
- 5 1/2 cups water
- 2 large apples (gala), peeled and chopped
- 1 T. cinnamon
- 1 t. salt
- 1/4 t. ginger
- 1/8 t. nutmeg
- The night before needed, combine all ingredients in an Instant Pot insert. Stir. Press manual, make sure pressure is set to "high", enter 10 minutes. Press "timer" and enter number of hours before Instant Pot will turn on (allow about 30 min total time for oats to cook).
- Sleep tight and then awake to your delicious breakfast! Stir and scoop into bowls. Top with desired toppings, such as toasted walnuts or pecans, a teaspoon of maple syrup or brown sugar, and milk of choice.
