As I like to say, everybody eats! So, naturally you have food and nutrition experience to share. I want to hear what you have to say. Your comments and questions are important to me and may help someone as much as anything I could say! So, do tell. Please leave a comment on my blog or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a way to get the nutrition information for your recipes without having to enter all the ingredients into a tracking app? I’m rather surprised that as an RD you don’t include this on each recipe.
Thanks for your question! I honestly have gone back and forth regarding including this information. Thus far, it has been a conscious decision to not include nutrition information because I believe in teaching people how to pick good quality, real foods (most of the time) without the guilt of a rigid system of counting macronutrients, which I believe is unsustainable in the long term and causes more harm than good. On the other hand, in my specialty of diabetes, of course carbohydrate counting is a very necessary tool for some people. I am considering some changes to my blog so I will reconsider providing this information in the near future…in the meantime, if there is a particular recipe on my page that you would like to know about, I’d be happy to analyze it for you. Thank you again!
